This is video #028 in my playthrough of Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, part of the Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX. This video contains commentary. To view the non-commentary version, click here: http://youtu.be/HczD_H8p0F0 Before the party can do the Phil Cup with the three-minute time limit, they first have to save up some funds in Traverse Town and buy some Ethers. Hunting in Traverse Town is fairly easy the team can loop through the Second and Third Districts, recover HP at the Accessory Shops save point, and resume. Unfortunately, hunting in the Second District is now complicated by a Heartless new to the Final Mix: Sniperwild. They drop a lot of experience if Sora and company kill them before they notice the party, but this will be difficult before the party gets the Stop spell. If the Sniperwild notices the party, it will summon reinforcements that will pelt the party with slingshot projectiles. When the Sniperwilds are not running wild, the party can take advantage of the several Large Bodies, which drop a ton of Munny and sometimes Hi-Potions and Protera Chains. Air Soldiers sometimes drop Hi-Potions and Spirit Gems, as well. Additionally, the Red Nocturnes, Blue Rhapsodies, and Yellow Operas will drop Fira Rings, Blizzara Rings, and Thundara Rings respectively. Green Requiems drop Protera Chains. The wizards drop Shard ingredients that will be useful in synthesis later on. Also, they tend to drop Ethers from time to time. At Level 24, Goofy gains AP and learns Lucky Strike (time index 2:00). Lucky Strike increases the drop rate of rare items, so I advise equipping this ASAP. At Level 21, Sora learns Scan (time index 3:39). When equipped, this ability displays the targeted enemys HP in a meter. At Level 20, Donald learns MP Rage. When equipped, this will allow Donald to recover MP as he takes damage in battle. Since he seems to get hit a lot, this is a great ability for him. At Level 25, Goofy gains an item slot (time index 5:37). Sora doesnt get much at Level 22, just an HP boost (time index 7:17). After some hunting, the party is able to buy some Ethers at the nephews Item Shop (time index 7:45). At Level 21, Donald gets a needed AP boost (time index 8:53). Back at the First District, the party reviews the Sniperwild and Red Armor entries in the Journal (time index 9:32). The Red Armor has the same colors as the Guard Armor in the first edition of Kingdom Hearts. After some further hunting, the party returns to the Item Shop to pick up a couple more Ethers (time index 11:14). They also review the Journal entries so far for the 100 Acre Wood (time index 12:01). Afterwards, the party takes the Gummi Ship back to Olympus Coliseum (time index 15:06). They load all their inventory slots with Ethers, and Goofy deactivates his abilities that cost MP because I dont want him wasting Ethers on himself. After preparation, they chat with Phil to start the Phil Cup with a time limit (time index 16:12). Magic is the key to finishing within the three minutes alotted, especially multi-hit spells like Blizzard. This challenge will be easier later with better abilities and higher levels. The match starts with the Seed 10: Jungle Vice. During the Seed 9: Monkey & Magic (time index 16:51), Goofy reaches Level 26. Next, the party goes through Seed 8: Big Feet (time index 17:31). After that, its Seed 7: Magic Alert (time index 18:07). A perfect candidate for Blizzard. Then, they go through Seed 6: Nightwalkers (time index 18:43). Next, they take on Seed 5: Hard Hitters (time index 19:26). The Gauntlets can be a pain during this challenge. After that, they go through Seed 4: Indomitable (time index 19:57). Defeat the Green Requiems first. Gravity works well on Large Bodies. Then, they endure Seed 3: Wild Corps (time index 20:37). Definitely a potential time-waster. Finally, they face off with Seed 3: Shadow Battalion (time index 21:15). Hopefully, Sora has the MP left to roast the mages with Fire. At the very end, Sora reaches Level 23 and gains some AP. The prize for completing this challenge is a Tech Boost ability for Sora. The player also earns the Time Attacker trophy for clearing a timed challenge. That wipes out many of the Ethers the party got, so they will get some more before moving on to the next world. Thank you for watching!
