Welcome to my channel. Although my intentions were to give you free access to my face mask patterns, I still have requests for masks with a filter option even though there are many options available on the internet. This tutorial is aimed at those that don’t know how to adapt their patterns for a filter lining or a beginner to sewing. This is part of my final collection of face mask patterns, which will all have filter options and nose bar insert. I have to teach you this so you can adapt patterns to have either option 1 or 2 filter linings. This shape is similar to my Duckbill Style masks (and YouTube tutorial: Mask with Nose Bar Slot & 2 Filter Options) but a little extra room around the nose area, and a slightly higher nose bridge. The main difference between this pattern and the previous Duckbills, is this pattern requires you to cut it on the fold. The Duckbill patterns need 2 pieces to join up, this meant if you don’t have a big piece of fabric, you can get away with cutting 2 small pieces of fabric. This pattern comes in 6 sizes. Even one to fit a 3 year old. My designs are inspired by the masks I see currently out on the market. My intentions are to produce good quality patterns to be shared and made available free for everyone to use or make items to sell. I also aim to teach you different methods of making one item and introducing new skills each time. These teaching tutorials will give you a skill for life. The masks and tutorials were never intended to be made quick. These are supposed to be made to last, gifted or for sale. Please take note: This is just a mask pattern. Do your own research if you want to adapt it for other uses.
