Description:

This video shows you the Odds of winning. Previously, we posted a video showing Aristocrats Lucky 88 bonus game set to X88 with 4 Spins (see it here: http://youtu.be/h-P4TxbIC8Y). Giving this choice to go for X88 is unique enough, but this game also has the Lucky Dice choice. In Lucky Dice, you are presented with 8 Dice (plus one) that have an 8 on one side. You get 3 Games. In a game the dice begin to roll and if at least one turns up with an 8, you get to keep rolling. The more 8s accumulated, the higher the win. If a roll results in no more 8s, that game ends. Once all 3 games are complete, the center die rolls. On one side is a win of 3 more games. So, in theory, you might be able to keep playing forever - but, of course, this wont happen with just one chance in 6 of extra games. This video shows estimates of you chances of a game ending with one 8, two 8s, etc. up to eight 8s. It also shows you the Expected Value (called Expected Win to put it in more common terms). Clarification Note: The Expected Win shown in the video does not count any credits won before the dice start to roll. (This video revision clarifies this point) To get these estimates a simulation was done of 100,000 bonus rounds. You wont get precise odds with this small a sample, but you get close enough to show rounded numbers. (Note, the video shows the odds of eight 8s as 10000:1, a rounded number based on a smaller simulation but a more accurate figure is 6:000:1) The one caution is that the simulation assumes the die are truly random and have an 8 on just one side. Given the simulation results, it seems to be a fair assumption. Further clarification: the dice used in this bonus may not behave like real dice (and probably dont) - but, I am guessing that they behave close enough that the single-digit precision I show for the odds is good enough for government work.
